The room rented was beautiful, spacious, clean and smelled great!! If you are planning to stay I encourage you to bring your own towels as using theirs will cost. Before arriving the room was cooled and lit up. Choke Canyon is a beautiful & peaceful place ran by pleasant people. If you are looking for a short or extended getaway with access to a lake this is your place.
Last week I stayed at Choke Canyon Lodge. It was so very enjoyable, and I wish I had found out about them sooner. Working out of town always poses challenges, finding a place that is affordable and comfortable. Finding this place was such a blessing. It was a comfortable, very relaxing, and offered marvelous accommodations. For hunting or fishing enthusiasts Coke Canyon lake is a stone through away. Personally, on my days off I simply enjoyed relaxing there. They don’t skimp on customer needs, and their pavilion (fully equipped cooking accommodations) is perfect for BBQ’s or large group cook-outs. The lodge spared no expense on their accommodations, making it a really comfortable place to stay. Choke Canyon will more than adequately meet the need of anyone looking for a place to just relax. But it is a perfect for people (on the road) like myself, offering all the comforts of home. I highly recommend Choke Canyon Lodge; you will not find better accommodations anywhere!
Super clean cabins, very friendly staff, and great location. Highly recommended staying here if you're in the area! It's 1000% better than any hotel here! If we are ever back this way this is definitely our first choice for lodging!
Love this place!!! Very clean, and spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The outside kitchen was amazing. It has all the cooking amenities you need to prepare your meals. The view of the lake was awesome, and the lodge was not far to the state park entrance. Ample parking for your vehicles and watercraft. The owners and staff were very friendly and make you feel very welcome and right at home. Had an extremely enjoyable stay and am looking forward to going back again and again. This place definitely deserves 5 stars!!!
This place is awesome!!! I was very impressed!! The rooms are clean and smelled fresh! The person that said there isn't a store or a place to eat was just lazy and finding something to complain about, there are places within 10 minutes. The outdoor pavilion was great!! They came out and turned the fireplace on just for me! I sat out there for about 4 hours watching TV sitting in front of the fireplace! We ended up with a neighbor who actually stays long term out of the year and he gave great fishing tips!! Misty was great and welcoming. I have no complaints on this property at all!!!!! 10 out of 10 will do again.
We have stayed here for years. Its not a fancy place, but always clean rooms, and neat grounds. Close to boat ramps and the state park. The outdoor kitchen/pavilion are always a hit with the family or our traveling friends.
What a great place to stay with our pups and my 2 boys! From the moment we were greeted, it was like we were regulars! Very sweet staff, the pavilion that they have in the center of the courtyard had everything to cook and grill outside complete with a sink and cutting boards, a few dishes, gas grills, gas oven, burners, tv, chairs and an area for gathering under the shade with a view of the lake across the way. Rooms were stocked with lots of coffee and creamers and sugar, xtra mess towels, extra backup pillows and blankets, a microwave and dish towels for the small sink inside. Just an overall great experience! Thanks so much for having us!
The amazing people at Choke Canyon Lodge were our literal saviors during the winter storm this year....they were so gracious and helpful during a difficult time, me and my family are forever appreciative!! The property is absolutely wonderful - comfy, clean rooms, friendly staff - we're looking forward to experiencing what more they have to offer during warmer times! I 100% recommend this property and look forward to visiting again
